Some lucky animals make it to sanctuaries. So far, the pictures here include Charlie’s Acres and Big Bear Alpine Zoo (a wildlife rehabilitation center that doubles as a home for unreleasable wildlife, whether due to injury or from being seized from the pet trade).
These individuals living on farm animal sanctuaries come from a wide variety of situations, including the dairy, egg, and meat industries, wool farms, homesteads, hoarding or neglect, and cockfighting.
